Days 5–9: Drill each block on its own terms

Work one block at a time, in short timed sets of ten to fifteen items, then review every item — including the ones you got right, because you are looking for the shortest route rather than confirmation.

For abstract, build a fixed checklist and run it on every single item until it is automatic: rotation, reflection, number of elements, shading, size, position within the frame, then whether two rules alternate between successive figures. Because the abstract allocation is typically the shortest block in Logiks General, speed here converts directly into marks.

Days 10–12: Rehearse the block transitions, not just the blocks

Run the blocks back to back, in sequence, timed, in the environment you will actually use. What you are rehearsing is not the questions but the switch: moving from a data-heavy numerical block straight into figural pattern work costs a beat of reorientation, and doing it cold on the day costs you questions in a block that may only run four minutes.

Rehearse the fact that time does not carry across. Deliberately finish a block early in practice and notice that the next block starts fresh with its own clock. Candidates who have not internalised this either rush a block they had time in, or spend a block hunting for a buffer that does not exist.

Set your per-block pacing rules during these rehearsals rather than on the day. Calculate the budget for each block from the numbers you expect, hold it, and set one mid-block checkpoint rather than watching the countdown. Sort the environment: wired connection or close to the router, other applications closed, notifications silenced on both computer and phone, water and any permitted paper and calculator on the desk, and anyone sharing your space told exactly when the window is. On a four-minute block, a thirty-second interruption is several questions.

Read the instruction screen in full before each block rather than skimming it. You are checking the question count and time limit for that specific block, whether you can return to a skipped item, and whether a calculator is permitted.
