Accenture is one of the world's largest professional services companies, straddling consulting, technology, and outsourcing. Its assessment process differs significantly between global/UK/US hiring (Cappfinity-based, immersive) and India campus hiring (NLT-based, written test with coding). Both processes ultimately lead to a HireVue video interview before the final hiring decision.

Cappfinity Immersive Assessment (UK/US/global)

Like EY and Deloitte, Accenture uses Cappfinity's strengths-based immersive format. The test is untimed (60–90 minutes typical completion). It assesses: numerical reasoning (12–20 questions in chart/table format, 20 minutes if timed), verbal reasoning (reading comprehension, true/false/cannot say), job simulation scenarios (what would you do next?), and a personality questionnaire. The scenarios are tailored by sector — Technology Consulting candidates receive more digital-focused scenarios than Strategy candidates. Accenture's values to align with: Stewardship, Best People, Client Value Creation, One Global Network, Respect for the Individual, Integrity.

Pymetrics Games (12 games, ~25 minutes)

Pymetrics uses neuroscience-based games to assess cognitive and emotional traits. Accenture uses approximately 12 of the Pymetrics game library. Key games and what they measure:

India Campus — Accenture NLT (National Level Test)

The NLT is Accenture's campus recruitment test for engineering freshers in India. It is a comprehensive 120–175 minute assessment covering 5 sections across 3 rounds. All sections have sectional cut-offs; failing any eliminates you from subsequent rounds.

RoundSectionsDuration
Cognitive AssessmentEnglish Ability (20 Q) + Abstract Reasoning (20 Q) + Critical Thinking (20 Q)~50 min
Technical AssessmentCommon Applications & MS Office + Pseudo Code + Networking/Security/Cloud basics~40 min
Coding Assessment2 coding problems in C, C++, Java, or Python45 min
Communication AssessmentSpoken English (pronunciation, fluency, grammar) + Written (vocabulary, structure)45 min

Cognitive Assessment detail

English Ability: Reading comprehension, sentence correction, fill in the blanks, vocabulary (20 questions). Abstract Reasoning: Pattern recognition using shapes, diagrams, and coded sequences (20 questions). Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Data analysis questions, statement-assumption, argument evaluation (20 questions). The cognitive round is the primary elimination stage — candidates who clear it proceed to Technical; those who fail exit here.

Pseudo Code (NLT)

5–10 pseudo code trace questions: given a code snippet in simplified pseudo syntax, determine the output. Topics: loops with conditions, recursive calls, array indexing, string manipulation. This section is newly emphasised from 2025 — candidates from non-CSE branches consistently find it the hardest. Practise with Python-style pseudocode problems on PrepInsta or similar platforms.

Accenture's six core values

Stewardship: Take responsibility. Leave things better. Protect long-term value.

Best People: Attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. Excellence over mediocrity.

Client Value Creation: Put clients first. Innovate. Deliver results that transform their businesses.

One Global Network: Collaborate across borders. Share insights freely. The whole is greater than its parts.

Respect for the Individual: Treat everyone with dignity. Celebrate differences. Build inclusive teams.

Integrity: Be honest, open, and ethical. Always. In every interaction.

HireVue video interview

After clearing the online assessment, all candidates (global and India) typically proceed to a HireVue pre-recorded video interview. Format: 3–5 questions, 30 seconds prep time, 3 minutes to answer each. Typical questions: "Tell me about yourself and why Accenture." / "Describe a time you led a team through a difficult challenge." / "How do you stay current with technology trends?" Use the STAR+R method: Situation, Task, Action, Result, and Reflection (what you learned). Dress professionally. Film in a clean, well-lit environment.

Accenture assessment centre

The assessment centre (called the "Interactive Day" or "Final Round" depending on the market) includes: a group case study exercise (30–45 minutes, typically an industry-specific business problem), an individual presentation (sometimes), and a final partner or Managing Director interview (45–60 minutes, competency-based with Accenture values emphasis). Accenture may use extended reality tools (augmented reality or virtual reality) for certain technology-focused role assessment centres — be prepared for unfamiliar interactive formats.

Process

The Accenture hiring process

Accenture's hiring process runs 3–6 weeks and mixes traditional aptitude screening with consulting-style case and behavioural assessments.

  • Week 1: Online application.
  • Week 1–2: Aptitude battery — SHL or Kenexa, plus a Cappfinity-style SJT aligned with Accenture's core behaviours.
  • Week 2–3: HireVue-style video interview covering motivation + 2–3 behaviours.
  • Week 3–4: Assessment day — group case exercise, presentation, final interview with a senior consultant.
  • Week 4–6: Offer.
Assessments

Tests at each Accenture stage

  • Numerical + verbal: Standard-difficulty SHL Verify, 18 minutes each.
  • Situational judgement: Usually Cappfinity-format — a behavioural video or animated scenario followed by multiple response ratings. Answers are scored against Accenture's published core behaviours.
  • Video interview: 3–5 questions, each 60–90 seconds. STAR format, mapped to Accenture's core behaviours.
  • Assessment day: Group case exercise + written recommendation.
Pass criteria

What passes each Accenture stage

  • Aptitude: top 50–60% typically progresses for standard consultant roles; strategy / technology-specialist tracks need top 25–30%.
  • SJT: Responses rated as "highly effective" on Accenture's published behaviours score best. Research the company's public values before you sit this one.
  • Assessment day: Consulting-style structured thinking (clear frameworks, recommendations backed by data) matters more than raw case-maths.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What aptitude tests does Accenture use?

Accenture uses a mix of psychometric assessments — typically numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, situational judgement, and sometimes an immersive online assessment. Accenture's specific test provider varies by role and location. The most common providers are SHL, Kenexa, HireVue, and Cappfinity.

Can TestSolve help me pass Accenture's tests?

Yes. TestSolve supports every major test provider Accenture uses. Whether you're facing SHL Verify Numerical, a Kenexa verbal reasoning, a HireVue video interview with AI-graded competency questions, or a Cappfinity SJT, TestSolve reads the question on your screen and sends the answer to your phone in under 5 seconds.

What's the pass mark for Accenture?

Accenture rarely publishes an official pass mark. Based on candidate reports, top 50% of applicants typically advance for most graduate and experienced-hire roles, while competitive schemes (e.g. investment banking, consulting partner track) may require top 25–30%. Higher is always safer.

How long is the Accenture recruitment process?

Most Accenture hiring processes take 4–8 weeks from application to offer. Aptitude tests usually come in week 1 or 2, followed by video interview, case study or assessment centre, and final-round interview. The test stage is often the most common filter — TestSolve helps you pass it cleanly.

Can Accenture detect TestSolve during an assessment?

No. TestSolve operates outside the browser at the OS level. It does not open new tabs, does not copy to the clipboard, does not steal browser focus, and produces no on-screen artifacts — the answer appears on your phone, not on the test screen. None of Accenture's standard monitoring signals are triggered by an F8 keypress.

Does TestSolve work for Accenture tests in non-English regions?

Yes. Accenture runs hiring in multiple countries and many of its assessments are localised. TestSolve reads the question in the original language and returns the explanation in the same language. Best supported: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Português and Nederlands. Letter answers (A/B/C/D) are kept as-is.

How much does TestSolve cost?

One free solve to try, no signup. After that, $14.99 for 30 questions (valid 7 days) or $19.99 for 50 questions (valid 14 days). Designed to cover one full Accenture assessment with practice to spare.

If you want a shortcut: TestSolve reads each test question on your screen and sends the answer to your phone in about 5 seconds. Free first solve, no signup. Pricing.
